I was hesitant to buy this since we have 2 large dogs (labradoodle and a Spinone) and I was unsure if it would truly remove all the mud from their paws. The Spinone enjoys running through every mud pit he can find, so needless to say, his feet get dirty (the doodle stays away from all the dirt LOL)!!! Today was the first chance I had to try this out and OH MY GOODNESS!!! It is super easy to use and it definitely gets all the dirt and mud off his feet. I have enclosed a before and after pic to show how good it works. I did not have to use much effort - just moved it in each direction a few times and then dried his paws. Definitely worth the money and easily cleaned. For those that will ask, I bought the large (biggest one) since the boys are 62 and 70 pounds. No issues with it being too small for his paws whatsoever.
This product measures true to size. I have a black lab mix and I got the large blue paw cleaner. I didn’t notice the size chart listed in the description. I probably could have gotten away with the medium, but it is nice that the large cleans a little higher on her feet. Overall, the product works as shown. It is easy to clean and use. It isn’t quite as portable as I wanted because of the size, but once we pack all of her toys up to play adding this doesn’t seem to make a big difference. It’s great to use before coming in the house or getting in the truck cab on a rainy day.
This product works great! Large and small paws for well and rubber ...75lb Bullmastiff pup and 35lb pit mix at home. This product works great! Large and small paws for well and rubber prongs are very gentle on their paws. I didn’t expect them to tolerate is as well as they are! Still have to wipe dry, but mud and grass is removed in the cup.
This paw washer is just what we needed.I have an Alaskan dog, and every time I go out to the floor, it’s a mess. Just have it ready by the door with a towel next to it and you will see a big difference in your floors. Wash the paws one at a time and towel dry. Almost all the mud is gone and just wet foot prints on the floor, which I can deal with. Dogs seem to get used to it quick as well. This was a good, inexpensive investment. Should have done it sooner.
Great for cleaning dirty paws
It cleaned his paws and he was not bothered by putting his paw into it. My dog is 55lbs. It would also work well on smaller breeds.
Where have you been all my life?! So easy to use, fill up 1/2-3/4 way with warm water, and viola! I’d recommend having a “dog towel” on the floor underneath while you’re doing it, not only to have them put paws on when taken out, but to quickly rub paws drys when you’re done as well. Large size works well for our 55lb lab mix and 35lb beagle mix.
Prefect paw cleaner after muddiness/wetness!
Absolutely love this product. It makes the daunting task of letting the dogs out when it is wet, a little better! It efficiently cleans the mud from even hiding behind the nails. Removes the mud and leaves the wet. Just simply have to dry the paws after use, rather than unsuccessfully removing/wiping the mud and wetness from their feet. They large will clean the German Shepard and even our Frenchie :)
So easy to use...my 3 lb. Biewer Terrier at first didn’t know what to make of it, lol I love it as her legs/paws are white fur...so after being outside I just have her put her paws one by one in this Paw Washer & dry w/a towel & there nice & white again.
Worked like a charm
He have a fenced in back yard and the back of it gets very wet in the late winter/spring and out pit bull/lab mix comes in with mud and dirt embedded between his pads and nails making it very hard to clean with just a towel. This paw washer worked great for us! My dog is not bothered by putting his paws in it and it does a great job cleaning them. I would much rather be drying off wet paws instead of muddy ones.
Each of paw washers is such a genius idea. It makes it easy to clean off dog debris and is much more efficient than using a wet towel like I have for years. Once you get the dog comfortable with putting their paw in the container, i found it was easier to move the container up and down on the dog's leg if their paw doesn't fit between the bristles. On my 10 lb dogs, their paw is less than an inch in circumference so the opening on the "SMALL" size was still too big. The small size has an inch opening while the MEDIUM has an inch and a half opening. As long as your dog paw is wider than an inch, you will be able put the paw in and twist back and forth to remove the debris. My 45 lb dog was able to use both the SMALL and MEDIUM size but I would recommend going up so you have more space for water. I strongly recommend only filling up the container less than half with water, otherwise the water overflows cleaning the dog paw! On my 45lb dog, I used the MEDIUM size and only filled it 1/3 with water (just enough so her paw gets wet). I insert her paw all the way down to get wet then pull the container slightly away from her and twist back and forth. This way, her paw dries off a little and the bristles catch any pieces of debris she picked up from outside. It works so well!!
it worked great for my 2 dogs feet
I’ve been using this for a few weeks, and I love it. It cleans the salt off my dogs’ paws so easily. When it’s super dirty and the streets are covered in salt, I’ll refresh the water supply. I add a few drops of their doggie shampoo, and it works great. Don’t believe the negative reviews. I don’t see how they can possibly not know how to use this gadget. It is so easy to use. And the pictures of the German Shepherds and their mess, I find it impossible that this gadget could possibly create that mess. I guess if they are covered in thick mud, then they have to be hosed down, and this product is not a replacement for a bath.
